It was an honour for us to play our part in this historic event as it was part of the UK Government’s Events Research Programme (ERP). All coaches involved were prepared to be COVID-secure ahead of travel which included:

  • Reduced capacity.
  • Onboard social distancing – households/bubbles will be allowed to sit next to each other and seats opposite will be empty.
  • Enhanced cleaning includes aerosol-based disinfection, sometimes known as fogging.
  • An additional filter on the air conditioning systems to reduce bacteria and corona-type viruses, and improve air quality.
  • The requirement for passengers to wear face coverings is in line with Government guidelines.
